01 — Philosophy
We design the feeling of a room before its furniture
Our work begins with light: how morning falls across a limewashed wall, how a courtyard cools by late afternoon, how a room settles at dusk. We bring an international design sensibility to Lahore, rooted in local craft, stone, timber and the quiet intelligence of the jaali.
Every detail is drawn by the studio, from the first spatial sketch to the oak joinery, travertine tables and brass lighting made with trusted Lahore craftsmen. Architecture, material and styling are shaped as one coherent whole, so nothing feels added and nothing feels missing.
We accept a limited number of commissions each year. It allows each home, hotel or restaurant to receive the principal designer's personal attention, and to unfold at the pace that lasting work deserves.

Listening & Brief
We begin with conversation, walking your site and understanding how you live, host or welcome guests. Your rhythms, references and ambitions become a clear, written brief.

Concept & Spatial Planning
Plans, sections and mood direction shape how light, movement and proportion will feel in every space. Our principal designer leads this stage personally, setting the vision for all that follows.

Materials & Bespoke Design
Limewash, travertine, oak and bronze are selected by hand and composed into a coherent palette. Furniture, joinery and lighting are drawn in-house, made for your rooms alone.

Procurement & Craft Oversight
We source, order and track every piece, working closely with trusted Lahore craftsmen on each detail. Regular site and workshop visits keep quality and timelines precise.

Installation & Final Styling
Everything arrives, is placed and refined until the space feels settled and complete. We finish with art, ceramics, books and linen, handing over a home ready to be lived in.

A small atelier, by design
Atelier Noma is led by its principal designer, working alongside a close team of designers and a circle of trusted Lahore craftsmen. Furniture, joinery and lighting are drawn in-house for every project, then shaped by hands that know oak, travertine and brass intimately.
We take on only a few commissions each year. It is a deliberate choice: it means the principal designer stays with your project from the first sketch to the final styled shelf, and every detail receives the time it deserves.
