The Studio · Lahore
An international design sensibility, shaped by Lahore's craftsmen, its materials and its light.
01 — Our Story
A small atelier, shaped by hand and light
Atelier Noma began with a simple conviction: that a room should be felt before it is seen. Our principal designer trained in international design practice and returned to Lahore to build a studio where global standards meet the patience of local craft. We take on a limited number of commissions each year, so every project is guided personally from first sketch to final styling.
Around that vision works a close atelier of designers and a circle of trusted Lahore craftsmen: joiners, stone carvers, metalworkers and weavers. Furniture, millwork and lighting are drawn in-house for each space, then made by hands we have known for years. The result is an interior that feels coherent, personal and quietly enduring.

02 — Principles
Four principles behind every room
The quiet convictions that guide each commission, from the first sketch to the final styled shelf.
- 01
Light First
Every plan begins with how daylight enters, moves and settles through the day. Windows, screens and concealed lighting are shaped before a single finish is chosen.
- 02
Honest Materials
Limewash, travertine, oak and linen, chosen for how they age and feel underhand. We let each material be itself rather than imitate something it is not.
- 03
Local Craft at International Standard
Our furniture, joinery and lighting are designed in-house and made with trusted Lahore craftsmen. The result carries the precision of an international studio and the warmth of handwork.

Limited Commissions & Personal Attention
We accept a limited number of projects each year. Every one is led personally by the principal designer, with discretion from concept to completion.
They brought a rare calm to every decision. Our hotel now feels exactly as we imagined, only quieter and more precise.
“Our farmhouse finally breathes. The courtyard light, the oak joinery, the limewash walls all feel as though they have always belonged together.”
A. & R. M.Farmhouse residence, Raiwind Road “From the first sketch to the last ceramic on the shelf, the principal designer was present. Nothing was left to chance.”
H. S.Private residence, DHA “Guests notice the warmth before they notice the details. The banquettes, the lighting and the acoustics work beautifully on a full night.”
